It turned into a futile quest to get the error codes to stop completely. The TPMS pressurized cylinder aka pipe bomb, stops the codes for only about 20 minutes of driving - so for my short commute it works great. On trips longer than 20 minutes it throws the error code about 2 to 3 times per hour, so I try to remember to leave it home on longer trips. Without the bomb, you get one error, clear it, and thats it. after stat up. Still have the idiot light on the dash that you can overcome by a piece of electrical tape.

The reason the bomb doesn't work is that there is a centrifigal switch inside the tpms sensors that need that c-force to wake them up. Son unless someone can device a way to spin those puppies, its a dead-end issue.

Currently I am having a bigger problem with the passenger side airbag turning itself off. Sometimes with warnings, sometimes without.

THat sounds like its a sensor going bad in the seat its self.

So since you have had both the race/prerunner versions of the RPG bumper do you think there would be enough room to mount a winch on either of these setups?

I am particularly interested in the zeon 12 winch from warn (i like the ability to remotely mount the control pack for a slimmer profile).

I know most here wont want a winch but i live in jeep country and i cant always count on enough "runway" for a kinetic rope to work.

I have also heard that that is a common problem solved by moving the seat forward and back. I have tried that several times and have been able to get it to go away for long stretches. I think they have faulty connections, and we all know how well dealerships handles intermittent problems...usually they don't. "Unable to reproduce customer concern" check!

So until I hear about someone else fixing this or it stays off for a reproducable amount of time, my front passengers will just have to ask themselves..."Do I feel lucky?" Anyway, 4 point harnesses are in my future and the airbag deployment will not be as critical, but for city driving I want it to work 100%

So today the seat belt alarm goes off, ding,,,,ding,,,,ding then it starts going nuts ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding,
so I click the empty seat belt in on passenger side and it goes away. So getting closer to understanding problem and it is repeatable.

I am worried they will see the seat belt harness eyebolts mounted to the seat frame and know that I have had the seat out and blame me for it.

Grant's Desert Outing

Let my son take the Raptor out again this weekend. The truck told me she had a great time, no serious or permanent damage just the normal pin striping dry brush scratches and an accident with pancake syrup in the rear. The mat captured it except one of the seat harnesses got slimed. Snapped it off and cleaned. Grant and his friend spent all afternoon Sunday cleaning her up and getting camping gear stowed. They spent a solid 5 hours.

Here are some pics he snapped showing the new front lighting in action, I asked for a variety of shots but it was pretty early in the evening to really much.

Frankly hard for me to tell much from these, I need to snap some around the neighborhood, these lights illuminate several city blocks
