I've tried to do the same on 2019's 7k off sticker and they still wont do it. They told me 2020 and 2019 are same price lol

Problem is your address. Out of state you can get that price. I use to work in Fashion Island.

Just made an offer of $65k OTD on a 2020 at MSRP of $72,290. Was declined. So dealerships right now are not hurting too bad yet.

That would be way below dealers cost? I don't know of many dealers that would sell at invoice minus holdback. My dealer has a 19 that has been on the lot since Jan 19 MSRP $76.7 and I offered $65 plus TTL and they weren't remotely interested. They countered at invoice minus holdback. If I wanted a 20 it would be at invoice.

Hope they call you back and give you the deal.

I do realize its a low ball number but I currently drive a Jeep JKU and got that in 08 the exact same way during the market crash. Actually brought it home right around this week in 08. Put 180k hard miles on it in Baja for the past 12 years and was looking to see if I can upgrade. Otherwise my JK will run forever and allows me to rock dance on trails when I know the raptor will not be doing the same.

The so cal tax sucks but for whatever reason there are a ton of 19's around right now. A ton.

Actually I didn’t infer anything like that.

Whether I kept the truck a year, a month, or all 5 years...it “cost” me something, whether in depreciation or payments.

I look at payments on my vehicles as rent...they all depreciate quickly and they will never be an appreciable investment no matter what. I’m paying for the use of the truck and that’s really all it is.

I’ve been able to enjoy the truck for 2-1/2 years, and get into a new model with no money out of pocket and a cheaper payment to boot. I’ll do it again hopefully in another 2 years or so.

so what was the monetary cost of payments over that 2 1/2 years? just curious
