Yea, I meant MSRP. That's the target price I'm looking for.. $5-$6K below MSRP.. but seems like not happening in CA as many of them still trying to add like $5K as mark up.

The best I was able to do locally was $1500 under MSRP on a 2020 SCAB (CA).

Fake news man. i am on my 3rd Ford with the pano roof. 14 explorer, 18 explorer, 18 raptor. no issues at all. do not let a few random failures out of literally millions of units scare you away.

Are you the FRF embedded NY times reporter?

You are seriously lucky, not being truthful or in denial.
I love the Rap, it’s a great truck - the epitome of what a 4x4 truck can be. Not without flaws and not without things they can do better, but the 2 panel moon roof in the F150 is a weak design that is prone to breakage, maintenance required is not at all documented and without maintenance it is a time consuming and expensive repair that is all too commonly represented on F150’s since 2015 and... i think a bit before 2015.

seriously, it’s one of the most fragile designs and implementations I’ve seen. my old Subaru had a more robust design. C’mon Ford.

Few random failures. Man, I spit out some good bourbon, that line was so preposterous.

Yea, I would if there was no stupid corona virus stuff.. so I can make a nice road trip and stop at many places... now, not so sure lol
But yea, that's some heck of a deal.. I wish CA has one so I can scoop 1

LOL...yeah...California is a joke...but you know that. $6k off MSRP is the starting point in the midwest.

Fly out here...buy your truck....and have a nice road trip home with an extra $6-9k in your bank account

If Ford issued a rebate on the Raptor I could understand getting below invoice, but other than that, would you expect a dealer to sell a vehicle to you below invoice? You must not be a business owner. The holdback is not much "profit" after you figure wages, advertising, VIT, etc. Seems to always be a misconception that dealers should lose money to sell a vehicle.

And for what it is worth, I am in the oil and gas business and in no way affiliated with any dealer.

At what point did I exclude any rebates you just mentioned. Besides rebates and holdback, the factory pushes other direct to dealer incentives such as bonuses for the amount of inventory sold. Sometimes on a particular model, sometimes on the entire floor plan. Also, pickups have a HUGE amount of margin built into the price. The Raptor’s margins are even higher than normal. I said, give it another 30 days because I fully expect Ford is going to start throwing around some big incentives. You’re already seeing 0% for 72 months. You’re going to see that AND rebates. If I were buying, I’d be looking at dealers with large Raptor inventories (my local dealer has 32 on the lot) they’ve got to clear that floor plan and I suspect Ford will provide some dealer direct bonuses to help them do that.

BTW, new car sales are not the biggest revenue generators for dealers. That’s used cars. They can take it in the shorts on a new car transaction and still turn a tidy profit on the trade. Don’t even get me started on the service dept profits.

Anyways, I hope oil and gas picks up for you guys soon. Not even trying to be an a-hole here. I’m worried for my neighbors too. WTI as $22 is a disaster.

lube the rubber seals so they don’t stick to the glass. when the glass sticks, the motor - not sure if it’s the lift or the push, but the track guides are made of relatively fragile plastic and break quite frequently.

a lot of helpful users here posted up some workarounds to prevent the track breakage - krytox grease, lift the front panel first, then lower, then open rearward and push up on the front glass when lifting it after it’s been closed a while.

maintenance required is not at all documented:eek:

I do agree with this statement.

I can only go from my 3 examples, and have had no issues. But i do my research and do the extra maintenance you need to do, but most people dont even know about.

Local dealers here (Edmonton, Canada) have been listing '19 for up to $10k off sticker and '20 for around $5k off sticker. Better prices can an have been negotiated.

I think it's all a perfect storm of overstock, a downturn in the local economy, and the coronavirus.

I’m working on upgrading from an 18 to a 20 model right now and have 3 dealers within 200 miles of me offering 4-5k off sticker and allowing me 52k trade on my Raptor.
So basically I’m moving into a 2 year newer truck with no money down and with the lowered interest as a bonus my payments are around 100 bucks less per month.
