Are you dense? Seriously? Read my comments out loud if it makes a difference in your comprehension.
Let's go back to the '05 Ford GT. They had a listed msrp of $150K (+-) Many were sold over sticker. Look at what they are worth now, a mere 10 years later. The markup is supported in the resale market. Now take a look at a '07 GT500. You think a markup on those ever had any value? The same will happen with any Raptor, Gen I or II and paying over sticker for one is merely paying the bend over without lube gotta have it now tax. Plenty of clowns out there that will pay it too. They'll regret it once the novelty wears off, and they'll remember who manipulated them into making that decision. That scenario doesn't bode well for future customer relations.
Seriously you are trying to justify someone paying over sticker for a Porsche or Ferrari because of resale value? Resale value has nothing to do with people paying over sticker for a vehicle. Nobody knew in 2005 the Ford GT would have the value it does today so they willing paid over sticker to get one. People that are paying over sticker for vehicles do that because they want that vehicle and they want it as soon as they can get it. I've seen people pay over MSRP for 1993 Cobras, 1993 Cobra R's, 1995 Cobra R's, 2000 Cobra R's, 2003 Cobra's and many more. I doubt very many of those customers paid over sticker because what the projected resale value of the car is.
I came to this forum to try and help contribute any info I could about the truck from the dealers side and also learn what ever I can about the truck. I usually try and avoid the debate about what people are paying for the vehicle and who thinks that is fair or not. We each have our opinion. I don't agree with yours but respect that you have one.
I'm out of the pricing debate and will stick with tech info from here on out.
I don't know who's caught it yet but our Ford dealers ESourcebook has a link to the motor specs. They are listed at 450 hp and 510 tq. Info is posted over in the engine specs thread for anyone interested.
