Got my vin and build date of Oct 20th. Ordered fully loaded lightning blue screw with carbon fiber as well. I ordered from Legacy Ford Rosenberg, TX and was first order. If they sold the option I bought it. Ford just shut up and take my money!

Good to hear you got a schedule date. Our first order pulled almost 2 weeks ago but hasn't been give a schedule date yet.

I see you chose blue. I struggled with color option when I ordered mine. I was going to go Magnetic but the more I looked at pictures of the color I wanted a little more contrast. I was then on the fence between Lightning Blue and Avalanche. I ended up going Avalanche.

I can't wait to hear what people think once they start driving them. I also can't wait to see what the HP/TQ #'s are. I can't believe this close to Job 1 build and they haven't disclosed those numbers yet. I sure hope we are plesently surprised when they do.

Quite interesting that you'd find it acceptable for someone to pay over sticker for a Porsche or Ferrari but not a Ford. Dealer admin has nothing to do with what potential future value of the item may be. Most people don't buy these cars with future value in mind or for an investment. It has to do with what people are willing to pay to either be one of the first to have a certain item or just simply the chance at being able to own one because of supply and demand.

Do you write off restaurants that have certain items at "market Price". Would you sell your current Raptor for 10% - 20% under the current market value because that current market value is "bending people over without lube"? I doubt it. It all goes back to peoples opinion. This topic can be debated all day long every day and people won't agree on it. For some reason people seem to have a double standard when it comes to what car dealership should be allowed to charge.

Are you dense? Seriously? Read my comments out loud if it makes a difference in your comprehension.

Let's go back to the '05 Ford GT. They had a listed msrp of $150K (+-) Many were sold over sticker. Look at what they are worth now, a mere 10 years later. The markup is supported in the resale market. Now take a look at a '07 GT500. You think a markup on those ever had any value? The same will happen with any Raptor, Gen I or II and paying over sticker for one is merely paying the bend over without lube gotta have it now tax. Plenty of clowns out there that will pay it too. They'll regret it once the novelty wears off, and they'll remember who manipulated them into making that decision. That scenario doesn't bode well for future customer relations.

My dealer told me that both of their orders are looking like they will be pulled this week, said he would know for sure tomorrow.

Seriously you are trying to justify someone paying over sticker for a Porsche or Ferrari because of resale value? Resale value has nothing to do with people paying over sticker for a vehicle. Nobody knew in 2005 the Ford GT would have the value it does today so they willing paid over sticker to get one. People that are paying over sticker for vehicles do that because they want that vehicle and they want it as soon as they can get it. I've seen people pay over MSRP for 1993 Cobras, 1993 Cobra R's, 1995 Cobra R's, 2000 Cobra R's, 2003 Cobra's and many more. I doubt very many of those customers paid over sticker because what the projected resale value of the car is.

I came to this forum to try and help contribute any info I could about the truck from the dealers side and also learn what ever I can about the truck. I usually try and avoid the debate about what people are paying for the vehicle and who thinks that is fair or not. We each have our opinion. I don't agree with yours but respect that you have one.

I'm out of the pricing debate and will stick with tech info from here on out.

I don't know who's caught it yet but our Ford dealers ESourcebook has a link to the motor specs. They are listed at 450 hp and 510 tq. Info is posted over in the engine specs thread for anyone interested.

More than likely, it'll be completed the same day it's started. After that, it's just a matter of waiting for the freight route to be built up so they can ship your truck with other vehicles on a full hauler. I'd guess a couple of weeks.
