If a dealer doesn't have a retail order in and it's their turn to get a unit scheduled, the first stock order in their system will get pulled.

I talk to a large dealer with 33 allocations and they are getting calls from smaller dealers with little or no allocations offering 5K for their allocations. So demand is being created from customers with deep pockets and from dealers. But ultimately it is the customers who creates the demand.

Yet somehow these dealers keep selling Raptors. Where are these potential buyers who've been turned away by dealers who've run out of allocations? Surely we'd have seen at least one by now.

Somehow, every dealer is perpetually *almost* out of allocations. I think I saw Penn and Teller do this trick once. Better hurry!

A local dealer here who had allocation for 3 units sold all of his and referred a potential buyer to me. That's the only one I've heard turned away so far.

The biggest hype won't start on these trucks until they hit the ground. Once people start seeing these trucks and realizing what they are we'll see an influx of people interested. That's when you'll be hearing people get turned away

I ordered my loaded Lightning blue screw raptor on July 25 at the Naperville dealer told me he didn't know his allocation yet. My priority was 19. I ordered it with the CF and last week the dealer called me and said his zone rep told him i need to cancel the CF if I wanted the truck this year, which I did. My sales rep(which I bought 7 trucks/cars with within the last 5 years) just said the CF is on hold due to low supply. I will be going back to them tomorrow to find out there allocation. No word on build date yet.. Does it sound weird that a dealer doesn't know there allocation on this truck?

So only some with carbon fiber is getting built ? I got cf on mines and I got a vin and a built date October 22

Exactly, I haven't seen any in Canada cancelled yet with the CF option so I am only assuming they are shipping all of them to the great white north because they ream us on price so badly. We The North!

I ordered my Raptor at the end of July and have been checking weekly for a VIN and build date...... nothing yet unfortunately. My issue is the CF option and I received more detail on the background with the issue. If you have an allocation, your order is most likely sitting at 01 right now, unless you have the CF option which places a hold on it. As many have said on here, if you pull that option out then you should get scheduled fairly quickly. In the supply planning, Ford assumed a mix of 15% that would spec out with the CF option. The initial raptor retail orders have come in with an 80% mix for CF. Each week they are ramping up the supply of CF, so more orders will get slotted, but you just have to be one of the lucky ones. As for me, I've decided to go ahead and wait to get the truck exactly as I want it. But, the wait does suck....... Congrats to all that have received their VIN/Build date. I can't wait to see them on the road.

I have the CF option and I have a VIN and build date of Oct 24...

I ordered a Screw and lux package, without carbon fiber on the 7/21 and at priority 10 and haven't been scheduled...or even lowered in priority.
Good job out of you, waiting to get what you want.
