You know what I'd do with that bare hanger end? Since this is an off-road truck and the exhaust system is subject to jars and bumps that a street car would never see, I'd buy a tap, thread the very end of that hanger, and lock-tight a nut on the end so it can't slip out of the rubber hanger.

Ruger, I'll be doing that next time I head to seats so I can buy the tools needed for the job.

On a side note, I went on another trip today, about 4 hours of highway driving and I don't notice any drone cruising from 60-80mph. I know that's a concern for some of the guys on the board (including myself) and I'm happy to report I can't notice any with this catback.

A "die" is what you would use. A tap threads a hole. :)

Yes, a die indeed. Apparently, it's not an easy feat to find the die I'm looking for (1/2"-13 NC Hexagonal shaped). Been looking for this thing for a while now and can't seem to track one down...

Maybe a local machine shop would have one.

Finally got around to threading the hanger and securing the pipe with a nut and washer. I also did this to the hanger right after the factory resonator. Thanks for the tip, Ruger! Here are the pics...
