Time to update since I'm finally getting on with it as ordered parts arrive.
Lil Sahara Raptor Dune Run was a blast but inflicted some damage to the truck.
Learned the limitations of running low tire pressures - debeaded the right front tire during some high speed drifting. Gave the whole team a workout fit in that sinking sand. Fortunately WSI's hi-lift jack got it up enough to get the wheel off and the spare on.
Later that night I killed my front bumper chasing these crazies around in the dark.
They had super bright offroad lighting. I did not. I thought that if I stayed real close I would be fine. Not so.
The TMX skid plate held up well. Nice approach angle allowed it to escape damage that night.
Next morning, OkieRacing found us a suitable dune, and Cody lead the way with some sweet jumps. Joe then proceeded to catch some nice air.
Then it was my turn. After a few pre-runs, I caught a nice 58 foot jump and should have called it a day. But the camcorder died and lost the landing. I had my truck-attached GoPro running, and didn't know it but Cory had picked his GoPro off the sand and caught the truck as it went by.

So I went for that last one which ended up being a 76 foot jump
Out-jumped the dune's down slope and managed to land on the left front. Hard!
Left front wheel was kicked out at an angle. Sore back (from lack of proper shoulder strap restraint) made for a long drive home. But the truck drove smooth as ever with just a mild pull to the left.
Had to get home and put it up on the rack to complete the damage report.
I was hoping the left front canted wheel angle was due to knocking loose the camber adjustment bolt (as in pic below). This had been an easy fix after happened at TRR.
Nope. Turns out I severely bent the spindle.
Got truck repaired and re-aligned right away. Didn't want to ruin my new Toyos.
