from MSRP to 15k over lol

We can submit your order out for a Raptor to Ford. Ford will pick it up once we have more allocation, this will guarantee your spot in line.

Please go to F-150 - Build & Price (ford.com) to build your Raptor. Once finished please email me the HTTP of your summary I will build it and connect with you to make sure it is correct.

We are pricing all Raptors $15,000 over MSRP.

I think this is out of state pricing. I'm meeting with a different sales person tomorrow to possibly order a 22' for 5,000 over msrp. I have a brand new f150 to trade in so that price will dictate if Im willing to do the 5,000 adm or not.

I am going to share this worksheet as an editable doc for FRF community. I had passed this to several members prior that PM me about it. Since feedback has been positive and helpful to those members, I am putting this out to everybody. I would like the FRF community to continue sheet so it may help others.

The password on the sheet is a little six-letter word, that requires no guessing from anybody in this forum.

It contains the notes of over 50+ dealers that I called when shopping for my Gen 3. There was a poster that noted it's not that hard to find an MSRP deal, just make a few calls, we'll I'm glad he got it. But for rest or most of us, you would be in the lucky minority at current market and time to get an MSRP deal. If you do.... hat's off to ya. The truth is, most everybody else is paying some ADM, What each person is willing to pay for or not is your own decision. No need to derail anybody for paying too high or whatever, or even the dealer, with exception of dishonest ones of course ( like collecting a bunch of non-refundable deposits way more than then their allotment or allocations ).

As in life, there is always someone smarter and with more money than you (or dumber and more money) , and there is always someone not as smart and less fortunate than you.

Here is the link to my excel sheet on Microsoft OneDrive, you don't need an account:

The sheet will time out June 30th, 2022

thx

Happy to provide the referral if anyones ready to move and that’s a great callout but I must have called 100+ dealers yesterday non-stop.

An underrated tool is Autotrader, just set your zip code and radius and it often includes any ADM so you can call and verify availability and you can dial straight from the page so it’s not too time consuming to work through them. I sorted price low to high and a lot had already been sold but it’s a good way to get on a MSRP dealers list for any cancellations or remaining allocation.

i did this the other day, and cargurus, and a lot of dealerships were hiding their ADM's and the prices are misleading. had located a '21 that matched my build i ordered (stuck in the parking lot of doom) and the sales guy asked for $10k ADM on the phone and refused to budge.

Yup, they really just let you walk these days knowing the next sucker will walk thru the door any second with they’re $10k adm check in hand. Crazy times!

I tried to order via my credit union buying service in late ’16. The Raptor was an included vehicle and there were participating local dealers, so I called one, set up an appt. Was ready to order got up to the print out when sales mangler comes over and indicates there will be a $15k mark up.

I told him that wasn’t part of the CU buying arrangement - I’d checked before hand and I’d just go to the ‘more options than I wanted, MSRP deal I already have’. I had copies of the docs on my phone, and he boldly stated I should take that deal. So I did. The moonroof & bed graphics were $2500 of money I didn’t want to spend, but as it was I couldn’t get an agreement on a lesser optioned truck for less money so I took yes for an answer.

for people who are able to afford 6 fig + vehicles, their wealth has increased massively since the pandemic, so lots of suckers have zero problem paying as money is no object. bad preservation of wealth technique, but they probably are also long bonds.

the market for G wagons blows my mind, and every damn 911. 993 C2's and C4's on BAT are selling for levels that turbo's were selling for not long ago. i got outbid on a 997 turbo by these types of psychos lol

So Cal
Glad I could
repeating:

So your perspective on Raptor shopping, even though the internet is available, is colored by your current environment. And let’s be clear, yes I’m totally ragging on California. That said, any urban population center is going to suffer the same perspective issue. I was in the DC burbs in ’17 and had to go 90 minutes out for MSRP. I know of others who swear they couldn’t land MSRP without flying. I won’t lie; I called at least 4 dozen stealerships, even ones we listed here on FRF who were verified as having purchased at MSRP and I still ended up buying in my then home state of VA. It was way more work than I’d expected.

I’ve been to CA so I’m well aware it’s not one giant city, but I’m also cognizant of the multitude of issues in CA that bleed over to the rest of us, including Raptor shopping.

I’d like to thank you. Being called an ignorant, assumption making narrow minded person by someone from California is an honor.
I live in Orange County Ca and my tiny house cost me 1.5 million. Calif does suck *** in alot of ways. Nor cal sucks even more. I was stationed in Va with the USMC and at Andrews AFB. and where is this going!!! I got my GEN 3 in Oklahoma! My Gen 2 in Az

I can't seem to access the spreadsheet as it asks for a password. Am I missing something?
After calling around California last month and being laughed off the phone by dealers asking 25-30k ADM, I'm ready to travel...
