I’ll bet that none of us FRF users in America are happy about CA (that’s California, not Canada) folks buying from one of the free states. Because that’s one less Raptor we get to select from.

Just sayin’.

Which doesn’t mean they’re being sold to rubes, they could be being acquired by other stealerships that are actually able to move them. This is what happened in 2017 - 2018. Small stealership would get a Rap and a bigger one would offer over MSRP. Some would actually take the deal, while others who prefer to remain ethical would not sell to a broker or dealer. The broker or other stealership would then mark the truck up in a favorable market and hope for the best.
Again, just because they’re selling, doesn’t mean they’re selling for asking price. Just because they’re no longer on the lot, doesn’t mean a poor sucker paid a lot over MSRP. It could be that, but it doesn’t have to be.

Of course! You are listing a location of Sacramento. You have to actually visit America to understand that it’s not as bad as where you live everywhere. In fact, it’s to like that in 80% of America. Get a passport, shots, boosters, and head to one of the American states and you’ll see
less regulation, less cost of living, less governmental interference in your daily life, fewer neighbors crammed up your ***, and on and on.

Actually, if you’re from California, you could get a sample of freedom from visiting any middle eastern state; Yemen, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Iraq, any-stan, are all more free than California. ;-)

So your perspective on Raptor shopping, even though the internet is available, is colored by your current environment. And let’s be clear, yes I’m totally ragging on California. That said, any urban population center is going to suffer the same perspective issue. I was in the DC burbs in ’17 and had to go 90 minutes out for MSRP. I know of others who swear they couldn’t land MSRP without flying. I won’t lie; I called at least 4 dozen stealerships, even ones we listed here on FRF who were verified as having purchased at MSRP and I still ended up buying in my then home state of VA. It was way more work than I’d expected.

I’d suggest foot voting; moving to a more free locale to live. Nevada or Colorado is a good choice for CA refugees; CO is actually going to be renamed East California in the next few years.
Yeah, please don't encourage the animals...err, Californian's to move out here to CO. It's bad enough what we've become, so we def don't need anymore of that. I'm still waiting on the day we in Northern CO become part of Wyoming. Wishful thinking, right?!

Nice work on the spreadsheet. I got a great covid deal on my 2020 Raptor. $1500 under MSRP with no state sales tax. My 2021 Raptor was 3k over msrp but no state sales tax so it balanced out with both deals. Not bad seeing how the market is across the country.

Thanks for sharing, I tried them not too long ago and their vehicles do not come with the 50 state emissions so they cannot sell to California, really is becoming an island out here! Lol
I was just completely effed by a dealer here in MN. 6 months ago I could find quite a few doing MSRP on special order trucks. Now everywhere I've called has a minimum of 5,000 adm

IIRC, the entire F150 line is 50 state certified. The Jen Too forums are littered with posts about this because apparently some states have “mirrored” CA emissions. I think PA is one.

Wow, that’s California pricing. I think since Autonation is so large they must align on pricing nationwide. I tried Eden Prairie, Roseville and Minnetonka out that way but none have stock.

Whenever I hear it will be picked up once we have more allocation I run as fast as possible lol most honest dealerships let me know allocation is usually every 3/6/12 months depending on size so when they don’t know it’s just order and hope which as we have seen on these forums means a very long wait and no guarantee of a VIN/Delivery.

After all my whining and moaning I have managed to place an order at MSRP after all lol. Out of state obviously and it is submitted as a priority 10 but the dealer helped me remove the components causing delays currently (auto start stop, spray in bed liner and carbon fiber) 37s also add on time but I know is a non-negotiable for a lot of people.

Hoping I get the truck at some point during 2022, will keep you guys posted! Happy to share the referral if anyone is interested. Just DM me.
Good work. Maybe consider updating @BlueWhale’s spreadsheet
