I bought my gen 2 and absolutely love it. I plan to keep it for awhile- probably another 4-5 years or so… It is a 2018 and is in really good shape- solid service records and I baby it. It has about 59,000 miles on it now and would expect it to be closer to 110-120K miles when I am ready to sell… Any idea what it will be worth? Based off what I am seeing today- I am guessing maybe $25K? Too optimistic?

What's inflation going to do? What green stupidity will Congress enact? The EPA? When will true self driving be available? When will Ford pull it's corporate head out of it's corporate áss? Who wins the next election? How much will gas cost? How much for electricity? Are EVs way better? Will we be in recession or in a boom? Has there been another pandemic? Has AI killed everyone yet? Unless you can guide me here, I'm going with a range from zero to a quarter mil. You're welcome.

Yeah it’ll be somewhere between $5,000 to $10,000 to more or maybe less give or take $5,000 to $15,000 depending on future unknowns with probably a 10 to 80% certainty factoring in grain of salt and unknowns like market conditions and widget thinga majiger mabob and that price is probably spot on.

Edit: I’d add 5.6% to the price for random numberness.

Based on the Jen Juan’s we see once in a while up for sale - at 10 years / 100 - 120k I’d say mid 30’s, all things being equal, depending on condition, etc. Now, that’s not to say that’s what you’ll get from an insurance company if some nit-wit hits it hard enough. The longer you have it, the more likely a collision will end up being a total loss.

Really? That low? Unless EV’s take off…. IDK about you guys but I have little interest in an EV- they have no soul!!!

That was my line of thought too… But I’d make an argument from a reliability perspective that Gen 1’s V8 engine is more desirable than Gen 2 and 3’s V6 HOEB engine. That leaves me more unsure.

The 6.2 was relatively low tech, a good medium displacement v8 for its day, but wasn’t really built like the current 7.3 or the 3.5TT. It will be a wash, honestly. 6.2 parts are getting harder to source, so someone needs to come up with a low cost 7.3 swap kit. The 3.5s though, there’s quite a few of those out there so parts availability -I think- will sustain the Jens that use the eco. The hair driers have proven pretty reliable so far.

@Old-Raptor-guy has a thread about long running ecos’ and some of them are pretty impressive.

I’d buy a Jen Juan if it was inexpensive enough and didn’t need a cr@p ton of work, but I’d probably be more likely to squirrel away some pennies for a newer Rap - Jen Tres maybe.
It’s not like I’m doing the wrenching on the motor or the rest of the drive train. I’m good for some bolt ons, and that’s where I draw the line for the sake of all humanity.

Any Raptor of any Jen will hold probably 10-12k more than a peasant F150 of most vintages.

I don't follow this at all. There are tons of high mileage 3.5's out there. Mine has 122k and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it coast to coast. We just got back from my daughter's college orientation 7hrs driving @ 73ish @17.2 (dash)
