Yes. That's exactly what a PC helps remediate by giving you finer control over the throttle voltage sent to ecu.

Look I'm not here arguing an MPT tune isn't good or isn't necessary. I'm sure it makes the truck more fun. But I call bs on anyone pretending the stock truck with PC is a Hyundai Elantra. Your smoking dope at that point and not even the good stuff. You can chug all the koolaid you want but don't try to shove it down my throat.

Anyone who believes that consolidation of 75% of throttle output into the first 30% of pedal travel (pedal commander) gives finer throttle control is smoking dope.

You do realize PC has multiple settings correct? City, sport and sport plus with 4 increments within each. That's 12 levels.

The pedal commander, like the boost max that I had, will make the truck jerk and pull you into the seat on acceleration. To the unwise, they think their truck is “lively” and fast. It’s a great seat of the pants illusion. It’s not any faster. It’s just now a poor transition of power.

The stock raptor is slower than the regular ecoboost pickup and it’s about tie with a Silverado with a 6.2. It’s not a rocket.

Now when you tune it properly.... you shave off half a second, fix the transmission responsiveness, and genuinely the truck will hold it’s own with a stock F150 ecoboost, and then some.

Sure MPT is a great tune, but you’ll see in other posts.... I don’t think you can go wrong with livernois or whipple either. I can’t comment on the new gear head tune. I’ll know when I install mine next week to test it.

Eh sounds like you got a defective truck and proceeded to make it worse by throwing random bolt on mods at it.

Sure normal is not too lively but every fly by wire throttle on the planet can benefit from a pedal commander or similar tweak. To say truck is slow from factory just sounds silly and sounds like you got a dud.

He doesn’t know any better. He thinks his truck is really fast now because the power surges and the tires break loose. It’s ok. Let him have his dream.

Thank you for talking down to me. Your condescending attitude would be slightly more bearable if you knew what you were talking about which you dont. At this point you are baiting me to tell you about my other car or all the other cars I have owned. But I'm not going there guy.

Your second statement is an absolute joke. Then again, if my memory serves me right, aren't you also one of the ****** that put HREs on his raptor? Or was that only dinoone? I can't remember.

I'm glad you like your tunes. Drive safe.

Where is the evidence that a stock f150 ecoboost is faster than a raptor?

He doesn’t understand that the only thing the pedal commander is doing is making the throttle travel short and abrupt. You lose fine control of the low RPM range in exchange for an abrupt onset of power.

Ummm. Yes. And absolutely none of them offer "finer "throttle signals to the pcm than the stock ford maps. None

hmmm, I'm not sure about this one. The pedal commander has "eco" settings that one might say offers "finer" control. They claim that it can even save you some gas mileage. I'm definitely not here to discuss the definition of "finer", but if I was, I would say that it means (of better quality)... and quality is in the eye of the beholder (not just beauty). All that I know is that when my wife says "fine" it does not mean "fine".

I’m not expecting it to be faster...

My point is that you can’t say it’s a blazing speedster from the factory.

If you like it the way it is stock.... more power to you.

If you think it’s kinda slow.... there are ways to fix it.

And dude... I’m not looking to talk down to you. Go look back. You started. I don’t care what other cars you have. I wasn’t talking about them.

And no I don’t have HREs... although I wouldn’t put down anyone who did if that’s what they like.

I shouldn’t have been as abrupt about the pedal commander.... but I’m telling you... I’ve had the same gizmo.... it doesn’t make the truck faster. It just makes the throttle sharper.

huh

700 pounds more and beefier tires on the raptor. 0.2 seconds slower. Not much of a difference but also the standard f150 got slower with every run? Interesting. They do not appear to be 'launching' on these 0-60s either?

And do you not realize... that MGD...

Who is Sasquatch77 is an internet troll.... and he’s reading this thread and laughing because he got what he wanted.

He wants to disrupt the forum, cause fighting, and ruin the experience.

I wonder if he works for someone? Seriously.

It’s sick.
