Ford published detailed ordering info to dealers just last week. My favorite dealer called me yesterday to come in to make my deposit and configure my order which I did. It was first come, first served from their over-subscribed list -- with a $1,000 deposit. Very happy I was able to get there. There are three Ford dealers in my market and they each have different stories regarding when orders can be placed. Some dealers still claim they have no ordering info. That might reflect their priority with Ford. Just a wild guess.

But was that order submitted to ford and do you have a DORA, if not then what you did is not really much different than configuring it on your computer at home and tucking $1000 in between your couch cushions. I think your favorite dealer was selling you.

I would like everyone to keep in mind that if everyone does pay MSRP for these trucks then that just makes the resale that much better. When trucks start to get deeply discounted at a rapid pace, that affects things significantly in the resale area.

For example: I bought my '14 Raptor at MSRP for $56,000, I then traded it in a year and a half later with 15k miles for my GTR and they gave me $53,000 for it. Yes, it sucked paying MSRP, but it didn't suck getting 53k on trade.

If you look at the big picture, its not all that bad.
Absolutely correct. Raptor is very limited production and availability. I was very happy to pay sticker and just relieved that my 2017 Raptor order was at MSRP not an add-on mark-up.

Do you have proof? Cause I think you'd be the first. Considering the number of members here with dealer connections and fomoco connections I find that hard to believe.

This is what my dealer sent me
Kinda crappy screen shot but it says all 90% of dealers will get 1 allocation some will get 4. Those with 4 will have the allocations spread thru the year.

I call bs on that. It isn't official. It's an email or psd they made.

I can wrong but I doubt it.

I have the same thing from my dealer. I'm pretty sure this memo is from Ford. However, the allocation strategy is for DEALER vehicle and NOT retail orders. Two different things. You would want your order to be Retail and not dealer allocation. Unless Ford has dropped retail ordering of Raptors, but this document indicates customers can still order their own.
