Got a update from my dealer(the local one who had part of the info). They've got their official order allocation from Ford, and I'm good to go. They'll call me in the next couple of days once their GM is back and get the order into the system.

MSRP or below?

I would like everyone to keep in mind that if everyone does pay MSRP for these trucks then that just makes the resale that much better. When trucks start to get deeply discounted at a rapid pace, that affects things significantly in the resale area.

For example: I bought my '14 Raptor at MSRP for $56,000, I then traded it in a year and a half later with 15k miles for my GTR and they gave me $53,000 for it. Yes, it sucked paying MSRP, but it didn't suck getting 53k on trade.

If you look at the big picture, its not all that bad.

My advice is to go to the largest dealer you can find locally.

Their allocation will be higher and they will likely deliver sooner.

Raptor orders

Ford published detailed ordering info to dealers just last week. My favorite dealer called me yesterday to come in to make my deposit and configure my order which I did. It was first come, first served from their over-subscribed list -- with a $1,000 deposit. Very happy I was able to get there. There are three Ford dealers in my market and they each have different stories regarding when orders can be placed. Some dealers still claim they have no ordering info. That might reflect their priority with Ford. Just a wild guess.
