When I ordered mine from the dealer. That said they had one allocation, it was 12/3. So I am inclined to believe them since most everyone else I talked to said they generally get allocations at the end of month or the first day of the month. I sat down with him gave a refundable deposit. He actually took all my info. I got the DORA and the order confirmation. All done in a half hour. By the time I got home I had the email confirmation from FORD. Thats what I'd expect if they are not B'Sing you. I just talked to him yesterday after I checked with FordPerformance all they could tell me is that its in the system and listed as unscheduled. The salesman said to give him a call in a couple weeks and he can try to do a check on his end on the status.
Does anybody else think thats what would be a normal experience.
Thats what I think you should expect.
Agree and as previously mentioned if they didnt submit your email to ford then you'll have to get your Ford MoCo acknowledgement and VIN from your dealer. I had the DORA when I walked out the door at the dealership. Was told that I had the first of 10 allocations, having one of the dealers allocations is key of course. No allocation, no actual order yet just in a waiting queue. If/when you get your VIN you know that you secured that allocaiton. My saleman emailed me an update, told me my truck was scheduled and provided a VIN with a tentative build week. Then as we all know on here that date adjusts. All my updates I had to email my saleman and get because I guess they never submitted my email. I have never received an email from Ford, unlike how I did when I had my Bronco reservation. I learned from this forum you can call Ford Performance, even provided me the number. I called Ford Performance they confirmed my truck was built on Dec 9, my last call yesterday confirmed my truck is with the shipping vendor. I have an ETA of Dec 18-24 which still hasn't changed, so hoping my dealer receives my truck in the next day or two. Given that its the holidays I wouldnt be suprised if it doesnt come in the new year. Ford Performance and my dealer say they usualy can provide routing updates from the carrier but not all are providing updates. So my truck could just arrive soon or may be siting in Michigan still waiting on a truck to go out. We shall see. Not stressing it, just glad I somehow got past chip holds and parts delays.
