I have the Evil Mfg frame cut bumper and opted to go with the Full-Race IC per their recommendation. My only gripe about the Full-Race IC is the location of the BOV. It’s completely exposed and just waiting for a good wack from something during a trail ride. If I had to do it all over again, I’d go with the Cobb or SVC.

I have the Cobb Stage 2 w Goose tune to around 550hp on 91. Main reason was wider adoption and I can install a winch now. Oem bumper still.

Cobb isn’t perfect though. Some features still don’t work like auto start stop

None of the above.

I just installed the CVF titan 2 in the stock location. No trimming on the Gen 3. Took 3.5hrs and the last hour was me just wedging it up into place with a jack. I noticed an immediate difference in drivability. Even the idle isn't as rough now. I live in Texas and the heat is just brutal so I added it to take some stress off the motor; no tune as of now.

Replacing the IC isn’t going to have an impact to your auto start/stop feature.

I just was nerding out for a year on this stuff and there is a bit of dirty knowledge about the stock mount variants.

The front mount stuff is way more efficient because of its geometry. A wider face intercooler with a max thickness of 3.5 inches is most efficient for flow through designs.

Stock mount solutions are as much as 5 + inches thick (@Nex ). At that thickness yes you can remove heat from charge temps but they reach a point that because of the depth the pass through cooling ability of the air is somewhat nullified after the first 3 inches. And thus they take an extremely long time to cool down.

Front mount stuff can maintain recovery based on a thiner wider profile which is advantageous.

Based on that theory a relocated intercooler would destroy the efficiency of the stock radiator, which it really doesn’t seem to do. Both designs have pros, cons, and inherent compromises.

I think you misinterpreted what i wrote.

We've run testing on almost every FMIC between the gen 2 and gen 3 and the general consensus that we noticed looking at IAT temps and fitment amongst most aftermarket bumpers led us to put COBB on most of our customer trucks, and my personal truck. My personal truck has an Evil MFG bumper but we have not had cobb fitment issues with any aftermarket frame cut bumper besides SVC which would still fit with minor trimming on the bumper. So far we have not had any unsatisfied customers with COBB and in our experience their customer service is spectacular if there were to ever be any issues.

I have the Full Race in my 23 model. I did have the Cobb previously but kept having issues with boost leaks from the 3'' side of wye silicone coupler. They need to put bump stops in the casting to keep the fittings from going on too far.
The cobb intercooler was nicer itself but got tired of messing with it.
