Agree, don't drink the AMSOIL Koolaid.

Without wanting to get you into a shitfight with others, do you mean that it's not good oil or just that it is not the manna from heaven enabling 100k oil changes that people say it is?

AMSOIL is great oil. It really shines in turbo applications—making it ideal for Gen 2s. Look at some of the data that is out there.

I agree with the post above, you need to run oil analysis tests on your oil. Such tests eliminate any mysticism or hearsay about the oil by giving you empirical evidence about how the oil is performing. I typically get 12-15k miles on my oil. I have very little wear metals on my tests, so I mostly watch the TBN and viscosity levels to determine when I need to change my oil. It should be noted, I live in Florida where humidity and temps are always high, and I do a ton of idling in my vehicles.

Lol but to answer your question, no, you won’t go 100,000 miles without an oil change unless you are maybe running a bypass system :)
