Just got my 3rd version tonight!!...and its the New one!! Sweet. Gotta say, that's impressive customer service @ DeeZee.

And to assist for guys further, here are pics of the old version and new version in the package.

Pic#2 New Version..Good..Notice it's now called Tailgate Assist on new version.

DZ43300 is NOT correct. Looks at the pic I posted on the previous page, it shows the part number on the top of the box, Pic#2.

The part number is the same for both the new one and the old one. You'll know the difference When yours arrives.

Well just installed but I got a question for you guys. Did any of you need to lube the shock for it to lower the tailgate? Mine got stuck a quater of the way down, I hit it with some Wd40 and its working good now. But im wondering how long thats gona last before it locks up again.

You're gonna need a real greaser because WD-40 is just a cleaner.
