I ran out of upfitter switches long ago...

Here's how I added four more switches (two already used).

I had the switches centered in the opening, but the switches stick out too far in the back and touch the dashboard. I had to lower the panel to allow for clearance. I might redo the switches in the future, as they are a little bright at night when turned on.

nice addition. Do the switches go to a relay / fuse set up? Or are they wired like old school switches?

You could always kit the lights with a bit of night shade to knock down the light output.

Thanks! They are all Rigid wiring harnesses I didn't use because of the upfitter switches. They are all fused/relayed and run to the battery.

How could I apply the night shade mod?

I did something similar, however the admins haven't posted it yet?? I added my extra Rigid switches and harness'sto to the upfitter panel and added a fuse block panel under the hood to handle the connections with all the fuses in on place.

iSurvive. maybe try putting some tint on the face of the switches. that may help cut down the brightness and maybe when off the could look black which may look a little nicer when off.

Tell me more about this fuse block panel.

I made a mounting plate with some 16 GA metal / painted it/ and used some "edge trim" to clean it up.
Mounted it on the passenger side and run heavy ga power and ground leads to it.
Fuse block is by K4 :: Provider of top quality switches since 1975 part # 19-133 ATC fuse panel / 6 circuits.
Bought mine at Mc fadden dale hardware here in town, same with the edge trim. I also have my race radio fused thru here.
Hope this helps.
