I'm sure they are decent enough shocks. They should be able to hit higher damping forces, which is a plus. There's certainly some funny business with the launch, though. Like no mention that the front shocks will yield 13" of travel reagardless of truck, so 35 trucks would see a travel decrease upfront. Fox also refers to the bodies as type II ano as well as hard ano. Hard ano is type III, so even the finish has inconsistencies. Then there's the whole thing where they compare them to the gen 2 FRS shocks and state that these produce more travel despite that fact that the shock travel on the gen 2 shocks is significantly longer (6.85" vs 7.89"). If that number is right, that would translate to almost 2" at the wheel. I almost think that the gen 2 front shocks paired with the gen 3 rear shocks could be a better combo. Then you could get the truck to be 15" of travel front and rear.I wonder how these are gonna perform in comparison to the OE shocks. I know the guys on facebook weren't speaking highly of these based on the media release
i've been thinking about going FRS but I'm definitely not gonna be one of the first ones if I do it.
