Exhaust work (headers, cut-outs, cat back) and warranty

yes you would need to get a new tune. I would just email Mike at 5star and ask him. Super guy to deal with. Hooked me right up with an updated tune when I put my headers on.

What was the cost for the tune update? Free?

I just had mine re tuned by the guy that put it on Andy at dyno tune USA.
It wasn't shifting how I would like it now wow once again + I think I just jumped up another mpg so pushing 15 now.
this is approximate 11mpg off lot running 93 octane 2 tanks than switched and now running e-30 just as much power or IMO more. same mpg.
12mpg CAI and headers, 13mpg diablo tune, 14mpg switching to duratracs, 15mpg re tuning the tune. we will see if it holds it should.

Cutoff rear exhaust - warranty issue?

I want to cut off the exhaust behind the rear muffler(in front of the rear axle) to get some ground clearance. Will this void the warranty?

Do not see why it would. You aren't changing the truck just shortening the exhaust.

i have mine just like you describe with a couple of turndowns on the pipes right after the muffler. My cat went bad and my dealership replaced it under warranty.

Warranty should be fine. Only thing a dealer might deny is something exhaust related.
