Ok Im fed up. Took it to the dealer again yesterday, the had it for 2 days again and all they did was drive it in a circle shifting between modes on pavement.. They said they refuse to take it apart because they couldn't duplicate the problem, even though I took the dude for a ride and made the noise happen....I even showed them the videos and the shop Forman said he didn't care about them... Wtf.... I'm about to just get rid or the truck.

Crystal if your out here please help. I'm so disappointed in ford. I'll never buy another one again..

Ford service absolutely sucks. I love my Raptor(s), but will not buy another Ford product because of my experiences with their service departments. Sorry this is happening to you, and I hope you're able to work things out.

Yep.. They sure did, both times I took it in, and I got it all on video. They didn't go in a perfect circle but in an oval, for a total of 4 miles.. Can't believe it.. I called the mechanic out on it and he had no answer.. Just studdered and walked away...

If you listen closely you can here the tires dragging and binding on the pavement .. I'm thinking about having ford replace my front tires because there is chunks of rubber missing from them now..

well, i get to join the club. 4wd took a crap yesterday. dealer tomorrow.

question for you all, did they provide a loaner vehicle? if this is a warranty issue, they should at least give you a vehicle if its going to take a long time. im going to try to push for one tomorrow

Yeah, they did the first time with no problem, as long as it's still under warntee. I bought the extended one, but I think the factory one will cover it too...

What did your 4x4 do, and how many miles and year?

Hi gang,

Send me a PM with your information so I can look into some options to help. In your message, be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership. The availability of loaners is up to the individual dealership, so I'd recommend reaching out to your service managers about that.

with any other vehicle manufacturer, any warrany issue was covered with a loaner vehicle. does ford not do this? of course the independant dealer will not provide a loaner vehicle. the order has to come from ford. if ford does not send that order, what dealer in their right mind would give out a loaner?

4x4 popping

Hoping you guys can help.

I have a 2012 SCREW. I bought it at the beginning of summer with around 30K on it. It was super clean, probably never offroaded and came from a southern state.

Here in Wisconsin, we've gotten some snow, so I put it in 4x4hi yesterday for the first time. Every time I get the truck a bit loose, or around tight turns I get loud popping and jerking from the drivetrain. It's very loud and the truck jerks when it happens.

I'm doubting this is normal, but since this is my first Ford, maybe that's how they work?

Thanks for any help.
