I came close to pulling the trigger on a 2014 Terrain in Tampa with low miles. Gorgeous truck but I obviously ended up buying new. You can’t go wrong with either. I wish I was fortunate enough to have both in the garage, however; I’m blessed enough to have one and won’t complain. Go with your heart.

I also found a fairly low mile 14 Terrain Roush in the state of Washington that came out of Alberta that was nice. Both one owner rigs and priced decently. I love the terrain on the GEN 1’s.

@FordTechOne - I’ve also heard that 2017 to 2018, Ford changed the turbos in addition to your other comments about the Cam Phasers and Oil Pan. Can you confirm?

We have a Job 1 2018 with the plastic oil pan, no cam phaser issues to date though. Knock on wood.

Yes, there was a turbocharger part number change in 2018; vehicles built 10/22/18 and later had the newer part number. Aside from the number change, I'm not aware of any physical differences.

Do you have an actual source for this claim? Numerous articles out there stating it uses the same block and heads. I know you don't like things like facts, but you've been spewing a lot of drivel with nothing to back it up.

https://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015/03/ford-gt-engine-shares-
“When you look at the block, when you look at the heads, 70 percent of the engine is that 3.5-liter.” [Dave Pericak, head of Ford Performance division]

"The foundation of the RYRE 3.5L EcoBoost race engine starts with a production aluminum engine block and aluminum cylinder heads sourced directly from Ford’s Cleveland Engine Plant"
http://www.superstreetonline.com/features/news/1505-ford-ecoboost-twin-turbo-v6-exclusive-look

"The engine shares many components with the F-150's 3.5 L V6 engine including the cylinder heads, block and dual fuel system."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_GT#Powertrain

That is all correct; same engine architecture with the majority of parts common between the two engines. Truckasaurus is spewing misinformation and nonsense as usual; he is clueless so he makes it up as he goes.

Is this your truck? If not, please post a few pics of yours so we can verify you are not another one of Sasquatches many many pathetic fake accounts. Post a pic with your truck and username in the picture for verification purposes or stop posting on this thread.

I was trying to be subtle but the tiny little 3.5 in the GT makes 600 hp in stock form

That’s cool and I wouldn’t mind seeing a GT motor in the truck as a possibility. But then again it’s setup for a car and truck tuning would need to be done.

Other than that, your post didn’t make a lot of sense.

It is possible I was mistaken about the block in the production car. The Le Mans cars had billet blocks and cranks.

Odd that you can't find part numbers for the Ford GT block and heads, though. The rotating assembly is there but doesn't appear available for sale.

You guys really need to calm down.

I thought it was odd that someone who has such a bad ass Gen 1 just joined the forum a couple of weeks ago. Where have you been posting for the last 3+ years? Did you finally run out of all of your previous fake accounts?

Post the pic or we will have you banned once again...

The turbo compressor inlet was switched to a ported shroud design that eliminated some of the turbo whoosh noise and improved the pre-turbo swirl ratio.
