Do you guys think PPF is worth the expense on our trucks?

correct. My wife backed up over the bumper of my Z06 w/ her MDX & my car has Xpel ultimate that was a good 5-6 years old at that time & what looked initially terrible turned into barely noticeable after hot sun, hot water, & a buff/polish
Just the thought of this (the Vette getting crunched into) made me cringe so hard I think I got a cramp in my neck!!

Yesterday I opened the door of my (until now) perfect truck and smacked the metal handlebars on my girlfriend's bike, taking a 1mm chunk of paint off. Do I wish I had PPF? For the cost, no. Besides, at trade in time no one is gonna give a flying F. I'll live.

Imo ppf is a waste of money, $2k to make it pristine when you sell it, but maybe it’s worth another $200 over 1 that has a few chips. Then the PPF paint needs ceramic coating, protection for the protection...lot of money

If you'll be noticing rock chips every time you look at your truck, I would do it; because that's the way I am and I'm so glad I did Suntek Premium PPF on most of my truck. Just wish I had
done some paint correction to the knock down the orange peel before I installed it. Very satisfied with how it has protected my truck's finish, since it's Black!

I have been considering Xpel but wanted to do it on the entire truck. I never did it on my GEN1 and after using it over the last 6 years and off-roading, every single panel including the roof has scratches.

Anyone get the whole thing done and what did it cost? I am thinking its going to be $4-6k but hoping closer to $4k

I've been quoted $6k and $7k for the total truck. Not cheap. 10 year warranty.

I’m definitely of the non-ppf camp. Just too much money and never pays for itself in resale. And, I remind myself, it is a truck. 5 year old truck isn’t gonna get a couple thousand more cuz it’s paint is pristine. And It’s not like I don’t hate to see those first few scratches show up like all of you, but with the new ceramic products, you can keep it looking pretty darn good without too much expense and make it easy to clean. I did a double ceramic coat (Avalon King product) after a good prep. Couple hundred bucks for all the product prep and ceramic product.

Maybe after my first big Montana Pinstriping party, I may sing a different tune...haha

I think it boils down to how **** retentive you are. I hate paint chips so I think a partial front wrap is worth the coin. Especially on a Raptor that has a large front end that is fairly flat.
