Value is perceived, and to me full PPF is %100 worth it. Simply because I don't have to care, worry, prevent (much) and especially with kids. Mine went on full day one and I know whenever (how many years) I go to sell, I can remove if needed and the truck will have zero scratched, chips, etc. I don't worry about following to close, or crappy roads etc. If I was shopping and two very similar trucks were available, one with ppf and one without, I would hand down choose the ppc'd vehicle. I know some will say, just live with the scratched and chips or get them fixed, but I don't want to deal with either of those if I don't need to. Yes, its expensive so if you don't value any of the aforementioned, then skip.

If PPF would stop door dings, then I'd get it.

Even parking where nobody is parked- still, some moron will park next to you way out in the parking field on a windy day and there ya go. WTF? Hit so hard and dented so deep it has to get body work and paint.

If it needs it, repaint the bumper and hood after 10 years if you still own it.

Saving it for the next guy is crazy.

This…at the end of the day all that matters is, has the paint quality reduced the trade in value. I’ve never had paint issues take away from resale, they do care about dents. I have had deep scratches caused by other people before on cars and I just paid a fraction of the price to have them corrected. All mods to vehicles cost wise are for the next guy. Unless you literally drive it till the wheels fall off, there will be a next guy.
