How much nitrogen is needed? would one of those small powertanks work? Or is a large nitrogen tank needed?

Power tank should be able to rebuild about 16 shocks or more is my guess. It is not a lot nitrogen needed. The medium tank I have has done 32 shocks and still going.

Just need the regulator that goes to 250PSI.

So what is the cheapest option for a nitrogen tank? It's something I will only use a couple times. I know there's a powersports store they can fill the shocks, but if I need to use the nitrogen in the removal process then I'll be SOL.

If only doing one set of shocks, a power tank with a regulator would be cheap route as you can use the left over for air up after runs.

If no power tank, most welding or gas supply places have very small bottles. The local place we use for gas supplies allows me to rent small bottles. You pay for the bottle and the gas. Then you go use what you need and return the bottle. They refund you the cost of the bottle. That is here but can always ask your local place.

I will get a pick of the tank setup I made and post it tonight. I got a regulator, short hose, and 2 fittings. I am in it for about $100 to help the cause.

Bad image but this is all the gas bottle sizes. All you need for shocks is a SMALL bottle.

In the image, left side, the small red or green is more then enough for 4 pairs of shocks probably. But more than enough for 4 shocks. Should be $15 or so in gas and bottle rental is $32 to be refunded. Hope that helps. Look for welding supply and gas company.

Just spoke with my local airgas supplier. You can rent a 20 cubic foot cylinder for about $.50 a day. Since I only need it for the weekend, he's just going to make me give a $75 refundable deposit. The cost of nitrogen is about $16. The only other item needed is the regulator. Not sure why that doesn't come with the tank, but he said they are about $100. Going to look for a cheaper option for that though.

Does not come with tank as it all depends on what you need the tank for HAHA =P

It is a build your own kit for these.

So since you already have it setup, what else do I need besides the tank? Hose, regulator, do I need that no loss connector thing?

Here are the images as promised. The tank is a medium tank. Gauge and valve are the company I use brand. Probably a standard generic one.

Also the modified raceteh spanner wrench with 2 longer grade 8 bolts. The ones on there do not work. You need a deeper bite then what it comes with.

The other tools are custom made. Used some cheap 2 handle sockets and welded in the bolts for the top cap and IFP for the rear shocks.

Last is the image of fluid levels I have been using when reinstalling it into the shocks.

Front - 575 ML

Rear - 825 ML
