This is the one sdhq sells so I guess it would be the long needle version

Fox Nitrogen Safety Needle

Thanks @t_j

I have a couple sets to rebuild so might as well make an excuse to buy more tools.

What's everyone using for nitrogen bottles?

Go to your local beverage supply house that does CO2/Nitrogen fills for Kegs/Coke machines. See if they have a used 5# steel bottle for sale that is still in test, should be 25-40 bucks, alternatively you can get a new aluminium tank for a little more. Then you will need a nitrogen regulator

I have this one:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DKWGGD0/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

You will need a high pressure hose, valve, and gauge for the fill end of the line.

Here is a good guide for building a kit on the cheep:

How to make a shock fill tool and fill station - DIY Moto Fix

If your looking for a cheep ready to go kit this is the one I bought:

https://www.schmidtyracing.com/product-p/n-reg-mas725-8r-w.htm

Now if you go with a Power tank N2 kit is $400, going home build you can be out the door at $300. However you won't have the nice case, not a huge deal but if you want something to take in a trip with you the powertank kit is much nicer on this front.

Used the safety needle for the first time last night. Much less sketchy than the typical hyper-dermic options. Also had a satisfying pop as the needle is depressurised during removal. Would recommend it if your going to be doing a reasonable number of shocks.

Anyone been able to verify if the Schrader valves have enough clearance on the front shocks?
