sound i **** my truck in to ford, backstory , precollision light was saying error , i gambled bought the radar module , so if it was it ,i would not need to wait to order , so off to the dealer to adjust it and to see if thats the issue , it was adjusted and the error erased , so they would not cover the adjustment under warrenty, had to pay 67 $ beacause i bought and changed the part .

I disagree ,common sense and customer service should prevail , I bought and replaced the suspected part ,they programed it ,u would think if I stuck my neck out on the line ,they would eat 67 $ if I brought it in without touching a thing ,they would at least be troubling shooting it ,and clearly after programing it the issue went away ,so it looks like I was correct ,bad module .
but live and learn I guess . certified pro , but there attitude and customer at this dealership sucks ,they argue with u .and act like they were above u .my wife warned me about that dealership ,the reviews r bad , pro y I had no pro getting an appointment .

Agreed that’s all on you. If it under warranty have the dealership who gets paid from the manufacture to perform the repairs. They can not claim something to Ford if you replaced a part on your own or did whatever you did on your own.

im not mad about the 67 $ moneys was not the issue as I paid 500 for the module , its the principle of it , I spent 76000 on the truck , they can't fudge 67 $

The mistake was not letting them see the error. If they don’t witness the problem and diagnose the repair they can’t submit it as warranty.

That said you probably could escalate it through your salesman to the gm and get it handled if you’re Politically and business savvy. If you’ve already had a Karen-fit that likely won’t work. Sounds like you probably didn’t but I can’t tell.

nice username. I love hockeyball.

no its not worth it to escalate it , it could have been 2 possible issues , bad module ,which requires calibration because of a new one , or my old module needed recalibration , either way it would require a calibration . because it either of the 2 above was not the issue the error ,pre collision would still be there , to which its not . I just wanted to eliminate it being a bad module , them needing to order it , me coming back , my time away from work costs me more than 500 ,for even 2 hours . yea im a big hockey buff , still play at my current age of 44 .
