You'd most likely need to sleeve it for smaller pistons and change the stroke. But that's stupid. I meant why not build a 5.0 since there are more engine options.
As in, sell your 6.2 and buy a built coyote engine.

That's a great idea! I never thought about that! Damn I feel like an idiot. I'm gonna get right on that. If I can't sell the 6.2 I'm gonna ask the builder to sleeve it down to a 5.0. Wait, that would be really stupid, I'll sell the 6.2 and buy a 5.0, I'm so excited now I won't be able to sleep.
Thanks Bud.

I thought it was a legit question. A 5.0 can make 1000 HP, and there are more avenues for parts. I just wanted to know if you looked into it and found a reason that it wouldn't work.

As I stated in the OP, always make sure you have parts available. Had I know what I know now three months ago I would have taken a different direction

Hindsight is 20/20. A lot of things could have been done but then again it is interesting seeing what the 6.2 can do when rebuilt into a lean machine like this.

Cool man. I wasn't critiquing your decision. I actually thought it was badass.
Your post just made me wonder if a 5.0 was feasible in a raptor and if you had any firsthand insight with the idea.

TBH, if I had to do it all over again I would take a different direction. For now, well I just have some fun with it, let's see what 800 RWH feels like on a raptor.
