Can you elaborate on the "nobody has parts for the 6.2L" for us please? I'm pretty sure we were all under the same impression, and that impression was the availability of parts from Livernois. They are not making a 6.6L motor without some parts... I don't know if they are doing it through bore and stroke or one over the other, but they're/you're not getting more displacement with the same parts as a 6.2L. So what gives?

Also, for the hefty investment you've already made, why aren't you doing a completely custom fuel setup? The fact that most people don't "support" the BAP at all and all push for a larger pump... what is the reasoning? I don't understand how the BAP with the stock pump is any more or less than the fuel rails can handle vs a pump of equal value to the stock pump @ 14-16V. I've never had a BAP failure, but I've also only used them on low dollar budget builds where the BAP was already available and the labor to remove the tank and modify the fuel hat was more work than it was worth.

Thank you for treading these waters, we all greatly appreciate it.

Jack, I'm taking the liberty to post this link to the " Group buy " post on oil gears. The vendor stated " in stock ready to deliver" that was on 2/19. A FRF member immediately ordered same day (2/19) here we are on 3/18. Still no delivery!
It's pathetic. At least I know better.

You are correct in regards to the oil pump that for sure. Just got off the phone with TSS who is only 2 hrs from the house and David is scrabbling to fill back orders rt now. Hes shocked at the demand and its no surprise looking at how Ford has been ramping up production in the last few years.

I had plans of going this route later this year but I planned on having the built short block from Livernois in the garage before pulling the stock motor. My only reservation with Livernois set up was the stock crank. I'm cool with the 6.2 displacement bc I figure the whipple can make up for it but I'm not so hot on the idea of buying fine jewelry and pairing it up with the stock crank.

The past summer, I had asked Livernois the details of their Raptor program
and they had not done much with the 6.2 but had built 2 or so 6.6 engines. I
was looking for 6.2 parts and all they had were bolts. Bottom line is it is
hard to believe what you hear on the Net or in advertisements.

Livernois gets the cubic inches by a longer stroke crank, which I have no
idea who makes it for them. It is possible that it could just be a 6.2 crank
offset ground which is the common way to stroke a crank, but I would not run
that style in a blown application. Anyway, I know nothing specific on the
Livernois stroker crank.

Biggest, thanks for the feedback.
Fortunately for me I am not in a position to wait for parts yet, lol.

Best of luck, hopefully everything falls into place for you. I know how it feels being the first to do something over the top, you blaze the trail with burnt money and everyone behind you reaps the benefits. Haha.

According to Livernois, the 6.6L crank is a forged crank. The stock one is cast. Sounds like a different crank to me. Now let loose on the details on that poor transmission that's gonna take all that umph.
