Depends how you define good. Many of our deals at MSRP are due to personal relationships, or tons of repeat business. I am sure that a lot of the dealers giving us MSRP are charging others ADM. Does that make them a "bad" dealer? Not in my opinion. I would imagine people will be leveraging relationships and repeated business for the Raptor R, but let's see what happens.
It's funny how some guys look at this stuff. They ain't your friend, and buying at msrp ain't friend prices. I can order a 22 raptor at invoice right now and I'm nobody's friend at the dealer and they haven't had any business from me.

And yes. Screw those dealers that mark vehicles up 20k

Dealers are in business to make money. Everyone isn't a good negotiator. When someone comes in and pays sticker for a vehicle while someone else knows the market and the product and negotiates lower, does that may the dealer "bad'?

I read someplace that the manufacturers had already raised MSRP prices so they could advertise big discounts.

Im really wanting to know what's going to happen to all of these used Gen 2's that are sitting on the lots of some of these dealers that are sitting at sticker or more? Auto Trader says there are about 90 with in 100 Miles of STL right now... I know that's not the case just by looking at some of the sellers. Some are way out of the search range, but still show up... I guess the sellers will ship? Im not the guy that will buy a truck or car site unseen.

Hopefully you can find a dealer that will sell you a Gen 3 at MSRP. Good Luck.

We are saying the same thing. Right now there is extremely limited supply meaning that those that are comfortable waiting can, while the few 2021s that will hit the lots will move at $20K over. Or more. At least in major metros.

No, that's not what I'm saying. You're looking at it as customers have only two options. Buy now with ADM, or wait till prices drop. I'm saying they also have the option to go buy something else at reasonable prices (or buy nothing at all). The high prices now means that a lot of potential future customers are leaving the market, and whatever extra cash you get now is more than the discounts you'll have to give in the future, not to mention earning the nickname 'stealership'.

It really depends on the situation. If a buyer doesn't try and negotiate at all, just accepts MSRP, then no, don't blame the dealer. However, if the buyer asks if that's the best you can do, and dealer won't move or starts trying to throw in extended wars and talking about monthly payments...then I blame the dealer. As a customer, I want to have to educate myself on all the ways the dealer will try and screw me over before buying, I want to know that the dealer is interested in a fair deal and return customer.
