Anything heavier duty than a paint clear coat, I don't know what would work best due to the need for heat dissipation, but maybe a ceramic coating or something could work

Line-x, 5 or 6 layers of clear coat, if anyone has a better idea of a coating that would work, input would be appreciated

I don't think you would be able to heat the shock to have anything like that properly adhere.

Lol, forgot you have to bake ceramic coating, sorry

I figure I will try this new sealant and May try the plastidip route as well. Easy to remove if it doesn't work out.

Random question is the corrosion starting because of rock chipping? We released the ICON Midflap System a while back and it really helps stop a lot of debris from getting back to them. Might be something to consider as well. The rear shocks def take a beating with them mounted right there.

I don't think it's solely caused by road salt or rock chipping, as ihavegas has the same problem on his front shocks where the perch ring sits

It doesn't appear to be from rock chips on mine, just random winter corrosion and they were coated in amsoil and I constantly washed the undercarriage over the winter to prevent the road grime from sitting on it.

Got it. Trust me being a shock manufacturer we deal with "corrosion" often and it is a pain in the A.

Not a lot that can be done. We have considered making some stainless steel bodies!!
