I was not expecting any HP gains with a CAI and exhaust but holy crap I can tell you it sure improved the performance of the Raptor.

A CAI is not the air box or the filter it is the combination of the air tube filter. The test they did is change air filters and air box that is not a CAI.
Now if they would have actually switched out the stock air box, tube, and filter that would have been a test.

Unless there is something I am missing, I don't think it matters how you define a CAI (One of the first things they say in the video is there is not a universally agreed description). Filter, tube, box or a comination of all three.

I think the point in the end is you get the coldest air possible going into your engine right?

The last test they did got some very cool air into the engine - much cooler than any normal driving conditions would probably allow. I'm not sure how using a different box or tube would have made their test any different (especially after they just showed that changing filters made no difference to hp).
