Cobb Tune & Altered Sync Reverse Tones

Noticed that after installing Stage 2 93 and TCM cobb tunes that the reverse tone that use to come from the audio system now come from a small speaker inside the instrument cluster somewhere. Not very pleased this has been altered, how do you fix it?

Give it a couple on/off key cycles, it should revert back.

Hey John! It looks like you've reached out to our Customer Service team as of this morning and have some instructions to get this fixed up. Let us know how it goes.

For anyone else that runs into this, it is generally a result of the APIM not re-syncing with the ICBM after a reflash. At the end of the install process there is a step that references a 15 second pause before attempting to start. We've seen that these trucks can sometimes need a few minutes for the modules to sync back up, waiting ~5min after a refresh should allow that to occur.

You may want to suggest clearing codes and performing a few key cycles as well.

The IPC is the chime arbitrator; if there are communication DTCs and/or DTCs stored in the ACM, the IPC will default to it’s internal speaker.

Good info here. I’ve had it happen a few times but it’s always reverted back. Good to know why.

Totally uninstalled the ECM and TCM tunes and tones have not returned to the Audio system yet.

Do you have the sensors, if you do then maybe you have not gotten close enough to anything to cause them to beep.

OK, I do have that. Sorry, I was thinking you were talking about tones that went off whenever you were in reverse.

Still no return of the tones thru the audio system, been thru several key cycyles. I have not reinstalled the Cobb ECU and TCM tunes yet. Is there a Forscan Solution?
