Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

I am envious of your good luck. Did they tell you one of the rears are on backorder no eta?

He didn’t mention it but I didn’t ask specifically. He seemed to think all the parts were coming in at the same time.

I feel very fortunate after reading through this entire thread. It’s unfortunate that you’re at the mercy of the dealer and how they feel that day to get these issues resolved.

Ah I just realized you have the 35 package shocks so it would different anyway. Ya man you should go buy a lottery ticket tonight!

My dealer finally decided to replace all 4 of my shocks after 3 visits. I asked about getting the truck aligned after but apparently it's not needed on the raptor ? I though you should always have an aligment done after suspension work ?

The alignment should be part of the process.

Yea I am just hoping that they say it's all 4 so I don't have to have a nagging problem like this through the summer. I am happy to get some stuff replaced after using it for 15k miles however since these shocks I think are about $900 each. Mine is my DD so leaving it at the dealer for days on end is an issue for me. I did find out I have a rental car through my Ziegler Ford extended warranty.

Any update on this regarding if the Ford extended warranty covers the shocks ? Thanks !

I don’t know if the extended warranty covers this but it’s going back in next week so I can argue the front shocks. The rears were replaced. I’ve got almost 30k on the truck.

My buddy with a 2021 got all 4 of his shocks replaced under the Ford extended warranty.

Update 12/22
I was in on the 18th for 30k mile svc, work order attached. Tech found a few things that were "loose" (see work order attached), that being said I still get the noise in the rear that isn't right. Does the quoted use of the Chassis ears look correct? Should I just take my ball and go home? (this can't be how this truck was designed to operate). Is there another way to confirm shocks are faulty or do I just need to try my luck at another dealer?

Update # 2, 1-8-24
Last week I went in and asked my svc mgr. to do me a solid and ride along with me. Sure enough he hears the clunk noise, dropped truck off this morning for his best tech to spend some time with truck. He took tech on same route we did and the tech confirms noise. They come back to me with 2 pictures of the rear shocks, the top pic is drivers side, the bottom pic is the passenger side. They seem to think the passenger side bump stop is not in the correct place and is causing the issue. Then goes on to say, " we are not 100% for sure this is what is causing it but its a possibility". So they are proceeding to warranty replace passenger side shock. Any thoughts? @FordTechOne

Hopefully they used the chassis ear on both shocks, if only the passenger side is making noise then replacing that should resolve it.

I am not positive if they used chassis ears at all on the shocks in the initial visit, and I know they didn't on this most recent. This second visit they just said they are replacing one side due to visual in pictures.
