SSM? What’s that?
Any idea of where in the thread of 119 pages these dates are?

The search function is pretty dang good here on FRF: Clicked the little magnifying glass, entered SSM in the search box, selected "search this thread" and it narrowed it down to 2 pages...

SSM 50972 2021-2022 F-150 Raptor

The SSM actually states it applies to Raptors built on or before June 16, 2022.

Seems @RaptorFun has this shit dialed!!!

Just Google 2021 ford raptor shock clunk and the SSM will be one of the top results. It is much more of a common complaint that it seems

My shocks came in and they got me in to service the next day (yesterday). Picked the truck up as they were closing (dark out, raining and howling wind so I didn’t inspect) and immediately heard a thud in the rear when I pulled out of the dealership. Ride quality is about 80% better, but still hear a noise in the back. Got home and looked - they only replaced the front two.

Based on our conversation when I dropped the truck off, I genuinely don't think they know the truck has shocks in the back too. He always referred to them as "both" shocks, never "all shocks" and I should have made sure he understood all 4 needed replaced. They hadn't done any suspension work on a Raptor at this dealership according to the service writer.

Going to go back this morning and help them understand what needs to be replaced. I don't think they will fight it, I think they're just incompetent. Gotta love living in a small-ish town!

Just the fronts made a massive difference though - no more feeling the clunk in the gas and brake pedal which is super nice. Like I said, ride quality is much improved. Just need to get it over this last hump.

Mine didn’t want to replace the fronts while the backordered rear with no eta was still unobtainable. Reason? “Ford won’t warranty two alignments.” I asked him how do you align the rear with fixed length arms and track bar? I don’t think they appreciated that.

Just got back from the dealer - didn’t get a solid answer why the rear weren’t done too, but they’re ordering them no questions asked.

Scheduled an appointment to get them swapped the 25th.

Fingers crossed there’s no delays on the shocks.

Hoping to put this to bed soon.

Glad to hear it. We need more dealers like yours

Could this be the clunk? Can someone else check their Gen 3 and see if they have this play also in the front wheel drive shaft joint. I’m not sure if it’s exactly called front wheel drive shaft joint since I’m coming from the Jeep world with a solid front axel. See the video below.
