Absolutely. I pulled off the rear passenger shock and the noise/sensation was immediately gone. 100% without a doubt, the shock.

I contacted ICON to see if they have anything in the works. I know they have a complete electronic system for the GEN2. There stuff is pricy but I have used them in the past and they are a solid product with great service.

I have had a gen1 and gen2 and the FOX shocks are a little "clicky" (mostly in the front). This is a "BAM BAM BAM BAM.. BAM BAM BAM BAM" when driving through the parking lot to pick up the kids at school.

Ordered a replacement shock from ford. We will see if that fixes it. If not. I am either going to trade 'er in or try to work around the live valve and put a better set of shocks on.

Best way to describe the noise is to get 2 crow bars and, like drum sticks, do triplets with 75% power on the frame as you go over little inconsistencies in the road.
Just put on some Gen 2 shocks on the rear and strap the Gen 3 shocks down in the bed and leave them plugged in. Problem solved.

I'm sure you checked but is there any chance the shock is moving in it's mounts? Undersized or loose bolt? I hope this gets sorted out before I get my hands on one.

Yeah. Good call. First thing I did and was really hoping that it was just a bad bushing or something but this is definately internal. Shock is rock solid from a mounting standpoint.

mine is very tame compared to what you all are talking about. either I am old and my hearing is going or it just hasn't gotten that bad yet. I noticed mine instantly and now at 1400 miles no different. it does do it when I bounce up and down on the back. my guess its all the way around. but nowhere to the point of annoying. anxiously awaiting a fix, as long as it doesn't get worse I'll wait it out.

Yeah. My old ears still pick it up. I know the sound you are talking about and that is normal. My RZR has Fox shocks and I get that same tick/knock. Id be happy with that.

I think there are 2 camps. 1 is people unhappy with the slight clicking you have, which is normal for these and the other few that have the issue I have which seems to be a bad shock run. Maybe a new shock will fix it after all. We will see.

Good news is that Fox agreed to rebuild my shock, so maybe they will find something.

same here, 2021, 450 miles. Noticed it the first day, it has not gotten worse, but sounds like a loose sway bar end link. Most predominant in very low speeds. Annoying...

exactly what mine sounds like. just like my 18'. when the sway bar links needed to be replaced. except with this one it seems to be all corners not just the front.

One thing i noticed if you guys want to try out… going over the same surface with brakes on the noise is significantly lower to none. This makes me believe in the strut/shock theory.

I work on cars. I lifted it up; checked torque specs on all components which were fine. I can not replicate the noise bouncing the truck on stand still, rear or front. Annoying
