From a MFG standpoint wouldn't make sense for shock replacement to solve any issue here tbh. If the sheer number of failures/complaints just noticed here that would indicate likely an entire batch or whole product line of shocks have a failed or improperly designed component. Thus, the replacement shock is going to be prone to the exact same issue. If so, FOX is going to have one hell of a costly recall on shocks for these trucks. Does seem odd though as the 3.1's are only a small evolution of the 3.0's on Gen 2's which were normally robust (and quiet).
