Dn that's insane hahah guess it's time for a beefier driveshaft like a 1480 lol
Knowing how much power the truck has and how susceptible the stock aluminum is to dents/ dings / failures we opted to custom make the shaft for this truck. It was a 1410. ( same cross height as a 1480 just a smaller pin). The joint didn't fail. The plunging section ripped apart.
The gentleman who made this for us has been making driveshafts for trophy trucks for decades. When I called him and told him that we ripped the plunging section apart, he said "in a Raptor, wow, she has gotten balls" Laugh out Loud!! .
I got the pleasure of driving Chris's truck today...
I told myself many times. "Oh man. That is a big hole" So i stuck to the golden rule.
When in doubt, throttle out.
It is truly awesome how well this truck works.
