Chassis ground under shifter bezel or close by?

no, you shouldnt have to if you are just fishing a wire through, but it isnt to hard to pull it if you want to.

Busa, Here's another question.

I got this stainless steel momentary push button switch. It came with a little rubber o-ring. Does the o-ring go between the underside of the button and the nut, or does it go between the top of the button and the finished surface?

i think it goes between the top of the button and the finished side of the panel. that way it protects the surface from scratches if it rotates while tightening. how thick is it?

Here's the switch installed. (Sort of) The white ring will illuminate blue when the upfitter/LED bar is turned on. The stainless button matches nicely with the fake stainless around the shifter and cup holders.
