Wow! That is some crazy power to weight ratio. Is that the ZR4 laser shifter? Does it protect adequately mounted in those locations? I have the Passport 9500ix so the ZR4 is appealing due to its seamless integration. Looking at Blinder as well

While the ideal shifter location is to have them proud of any adjacent grille or body structure, they do work fine where they are located. Aiming them properly is also very important.

Just be careful where you mount them, MotuMute. They're illegal in Texas so make sure that you use a JTK (Jam-to-Kill) technique instead of a JTG (jam-to-gun). This means have a kill switch so that after you slow down to the speed limit you can shut them off so the LEO can get a read on you and doesn't think you have jammers. Just a heads up.

Good advice! I used one of my up-fitter switches for just that purpose. Easily accessible and being lighted helps at night.

After an insanely busy summer, I'm finally catching up on a few mods/adds to my truck. The first is the addition of an under seat, lockable, storage box by Tuffy.

For the SCab, the box mounts to the sub-woofer bracket on one side and to the jack plate on the other. I slightly altered the jack plate mounting approach. The Tuffy box has three tabs that are intended mount over the three jack plate bolt locations. I slid the front tab under the jack plate and then used some aluminum spacers to mount the rear two tabs, in lieu of bending them down per the instructions. Installing the bolts per the included instructions probably works just fine, I'm just a bit overly **** about details sometimes.

Here are the aluminum spacers I had laying around. The spacers are 8mm thick, 19mm wide, with a 8.1mm hole. The bolts are 8x1.25mm, 25mm long.

This is what the jack plate looks like when box is installed over it. You can see the spacers beneath the two rear mounting tabs.

Here is the jack reinstalled.

I also trimmed my WeatherTech floor mats to go around the box.

The last couple of photos show the box in use.
