Mackie:

My 802A Tech Package has Adaptive Cruise Control (which I really like), and Auto Stop/Start (which I freaking HATE). What am I missing, and what are the new tail lamps going to be like?

I can't speak to the tail lamps, although I heard the look was changing. As far as the Adaptive Cruise, the 2018 will make it so that the cruise control will slow down and stop if car in front stops and resume when car in front moves. This is different from auto stop/start engine power.

I would like to 'retrofit'/software upgrade the Adaptive Cruise to my 2017.

Well...temptation got the best of me. I bought the truck at 4k over. It was one of two silver raptors I could find that had all the options I wanted....loaded with BL and CF. The other one was listed for 25k over. Thanks to all for advise. I know some say don't go over msrp but I didn't want to wait any more and feel glad I didn't. The extra cash will sting for a little bit but truck gets delivered Tuesday! Also thanks to the guy who created the raptor finder web page....wouldn't have found this truck without it.

$4k over isn't bad considering it has CF and BL. Congrats dude.

Not sure why people think the '18 will have the "first year bugs" worked out. As of right now it doesn't seem like there are any prevalent issues affecting a large number of trucks that could have been fixed by Ford.

I will like to see what the MY18 brings. I'm sure prices will drop as you can find trucks at msrp now. Like always if you don't have to be first prices will drop. I will say the gt350r has held stronger than I thought with the best deal New was 10k over msrp I passed on. I have had 4 raptors all had at invoice. The 2010 and 2012 both had the "clunk" issue which got fixed after so,e time. Now there is a black MY17 that I'm sure will go for msrp but even the dealer says he hates the tranny, so I will wait and let that get sorted. Also get it anything in writing. My high end car dealers have been good keeping rare cars (gt3, gt3rs etc) at msrp like agreed years earlier. The Ford dealers I used for years and got Shelby KR, Boss 302LS, 4 raptors and few others at invoice or better all got greedy and my goal of a MY17 AG super crew and matching AG gt350r went out the window cause I don't want to pay greedy dealers who can't keep their words.

Sad day when I can get a 991.2 gt3 and a G550 4x4 squared at msrp but not a mustang!

You say "let that get sorted" like there is something wrong with the transmission. You may not like it but that doesn't mean it's not doing its job or there's anything wrong with it. There are no wide spread issues with it. The only problem is your preference and it doesn't seem like ford is very concerned with making you happy when other people would love to have it.
