MY '18 Raptor should have available:

1. B&O play sound system
2. Adaptive Cruise with start & stop (if you do a lot of highway distance driving)
3. Updated MY '18 F150 tail lamps

If you can get a 2017 for at or near MSRP, given the prices that used 2017's are getting, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get the 2017 now, keep your place in line for the 2018 and trade it in with minimal/if any loss when the 2018 comes. I know of a used 2017 that just sold for $3500 over sticker.
My other car for a few years was a Range Rover and I know for at least the first 3 years, buyers were trading them in every year for what they paid because dealers couldn't keep them on the lots.
I wouldn't be surprised if the same could happen for the first few years of the gen 2 Raptors.

The Rap price point is bringing in a lot drivers with a heavy dose of disposable income that can afford over MSRP. The effect of this and the somewhat limited production numbers combines to undercut most under MSRP negotiations. However, you can get one for MSRP if you’re diligent.

If you expect either more from 2018, or lower prices, I fear you’ll be disappointed unless another manufacturer puts out some serious competition for the Rap. I expect the demand and market place to continue unabated through 2018. check out raptorfinder.com

I live in South Florida, and i've been calling dealers throughout the state of Florida searching for one who would sell at MSRP. The closest I got was 2500 over, but someone else got there before I did (probably offered more money). If any one knows of a dealer who wants to sell a Black Raptor with a moonroof at MSRP, or has allocation and willing to take an order for a 2018 at MSRP in Florida, or the surrounding states, please DM me. Thank you.

I've tried Raptor finder, and most of the dealers that had the truck I was looking for priced it lower on their websites. But when I call, they asked for the 10,000 dollar mark up.

Glad I waited!!

I ordered my 2017 Raptor Gen 2 every option Avalanche Paint and Black Bead Lock wheels...back in October of 2016. I just bought it home 4/25/2017 no MSRP mark up though, but the dealer I used had a list they were only getting 12, I was number 10. Dealers around Colorado are doing as high as 20k mark up. Just seen one brand new at a dealer for 92k and it wasn't the Shelby or any special model of the Raptor. I would say wait it out and order 2018, it's worth the wait.

Only other thing to consider is rumored $2000 or so increase in MSRP for MY 2018

But I guess I would still vote for wait unless you can get what you want for MSRP on a '17

My only question is are you sure the dealer will keep/honor his word for a 2018 at MSRP. If you have that affadvit, then the wait is a no brainer.

Else wait for your 2017 build at MRSP.

But for heavens sake, don't compromise on an "almost" what you want 2017 for over MSRP. Well, unless you really, really want to help my resale value;)

Mackie:

I heard about the new B&O sound system option (can't even imagine how much insane markup Ford's going put on that), but what are the details of your points 2 and 3?

My 802A Tech Package has Adaptive Cruise Control (which I really like), and Auto Stop/Start (which I freaking HATE). What am I missing, and what are the new tail lamps going to be like?
