DOT rubber lines expand a little bit before they push the brake pads together. Steel lines do not expand = more instantaneous application, greater total force, better feel.

For sure...... Many thanks have to go out to Corey at RPG and Baer...

Now we have a real reasonable option for big brakes that will fit under a 17" wheel

Next step is a reasonable option for stock wheels! Good luck with the install - that's going to be an awesome setup!

Have you heard of methods?

Yeah I know - have a 14 SE with those "special" gray beauty rings / fake bead locks and have a hard time justiifying replacing them right now even with the advantages methods bring. I do think methods with a big brake kit are in my future when I make the eventual jump to 37s though.

Are you changing anything on the rear or just front only?

Just the front for now. Our rigs are very front brake heavy. So much so on my last check up the front pads were toasted... But the back pads were still 3/4. And that will be the most significant gain in performance.

Corey at RPG and Baer are nearly finished with the matching 4 piston rear kit so when that's done I will prob just do that so it all matches.
