i went with stop tech slotted/drilled rotors and motorcraft severe duty pads. good bite from those pads and the rotors allow off road debris to escape and not get caught between the pads and rotor.

Why do the brakes last so long? I have 62k on the clock and ive only done the rears. Thats might be a record
For me.

I rocked the OEM brakes all the way to 64k miles - still had maybe 15-20% life left but was starting to get some shimmy @ hwy speed & def noticed some fade….i went w/ power stop Z36 truck/tow kit w/ slotted/drilled rotors (honestly not usually my preference but they were on sale at the time) - the hardware is top notch, went through a New England winter w/ these on & they still look new, the stainless steel backing to the pads is visible through the caliper & is a nice touch & again- still looks new.

I didn’t need them…but for the price (I think maybe $200 or so) you can get front calipers w/ the kit & I think have option for black/silver/red color

Alcon makes a BBK that has been around for a bit but seems very pricey & requires some modding

Willwood recently came out w/ a BBK that’s more reasonably priced & bolts right on…if I was looking for more stopping power I’d consider those for the front anyhow
