Blew high pressure fuel pump!

Headed to Reno this weekend and got a big surprise! After fueling up my 18 hard started then sounded like a vacuum leak. Took it directly to Ford garage and found high pressure fuel pump seized and blew one of two bolts out. Sheered right off. Likely needs new head now too.

Anyone hear of this on this motor? I have no modifications and only 7000 miles.

Theyvover tightened the bolts on my 18 during the recall and the bolts broke 2 weeks later

Interesting! I just had 3 recall items done on my Raptor 3 weeks ago. Maybe same issue then. Good to know.

I actually posted a response on this issue in another thread. Mine went at about 7500 miles too. Runs great since.

Truck is still in the garage awaiting full diagnosis of the damage that occurred and how long it will take to get all of the parts in. This is definitely not the off road trip to Nevada I had planned!
