I purchased OEM tire sensors and only one of them is picking up. They said FoMoCo too so.....might be a give or take deal, just hope for the best.

Well I bought the ebay ones. Did some searching and found a lot of other threads where cars called for the one originally posted, but guys got those ebay ones, and they worked just the same. For 1/4 the cost I couldn't pass it up. I'll give them a shot. Worst case, I'm out $50 and I have to get a set of OEM ones, if they don't work I'll probably just live with the light till I'm due for tires lol

^Yeah, I went and did the same thing you did bud. Worst case, lost $50. Ideally though, this works and hell yeah saved $150, and **** normal prices on these things $50-85 A PIECE?!

That's the procedure I use for retraining the sensors I already have in the truck when I rotate them. That same procedure works for setting up new sensors with the truck that have never been used before? There's no other initial programming required for new ones or any tool needed to set them up the first time?

I bought the tool from the Ford dealer to activate / program the sensors and never had to use it. For some reason the sensors I bought, same as you bought, already talked to the truck. So never had to do anything.

Thanks. That's a great price. Now to figure out what's different with the part numbers.

The link towerhog posted said they're 9L3Z1A189A. Your ebay link says they're DE8T-1A180-AA or 9L3T-1A180-A or CM5T-1A180-AA lol. Wonder if they trigger at different pressures or something?

I originally had the same question and asked before being and they confirmed they would work just fine.

Motorcraft TPMS-12 (short number) is the correct replacement sensors for our truck.

Amazon sells them for $45 ea new for factory Motorcraft.

They DO require a relearn if they are brand new sensors.

I have a TPMS tool and it is a very simple procedure to do what you are wanting to do.

It takes approx. 5 minutes to learn a new set of sensors.

As you said Reptar, with a rotation they don't HAVE to be learned, however if you do have a low tire you have no idea what tire is low.

The only vehicles that require a relearn after a rotation are like for example Ford E250 vans and such that have 60 psi in the front and 80 psi in the rear. Those will immediately throw a TPMS light if they aren't relearned.

I put new wheels and tires on with new sensors. Tried to train the sensors and could not get the TPMS computer to recognize the new sensors for the training. Thing is, I don't have a warning light telling me that the previous wheels are not there so the new sensors must be sending out a signal of some sort. Took it to the dealer and he couldn't figure it out either. Said the sensors must not be a Ford part and that is why it is unable to be trained. HMMMM ! Well, as long as the light isn't on I guess I won't care.

Not Raptor related, but does anyone think these will work on a 2008 Explorer? I know its says for 09-14 but the above post makes me wonder. Had one malfunction and I'm not able to tell which one is bad. These seem like a good deal to just replace all four when I get new tires next week. I might give em a try unless anyone is pretty certain they won't work.

Any update on the ebay ones DE8T-1A180-AA?
Did it all work out for you guys?

My rims/wheels should be here today. Hoping there is already TPMS sensors in them but if not I think I will purchase this way. Tire shop wanted 300+ for sensors and install. Not a chance.
