And just remember how much extra weight that truck had to deal with compared to a stock truck. Cage, spare tires, equipment to change spares, tools, navi/communication gear, two passengers, etc. There is no way stock shocks would have held up with that weight in those conditions.

edit: There might have been 3 passengers...

Cage and removal of stock seats would likely offset weight. Two spares and equipment is within the ranges of factory specs, so it'd be interesting to run it with stock shocks. IMO, it'd be cool to have a COMPLETELY stock truck with a cage, and see how it does.

Id suspect a lot of wincing and sore backs.

this. Why be in a class of your own and not run the truck completely stock? Not like you have to worry about competition...

Obviously they need spares and race equipment but why not see let pople see what the actual truck will do?

And like Wilson said, at least they are out there unlike every other vehicle manufacturer who didnt show up to race a mostly stock vehicle against them. Put up or shut up and Ford at least showed up and finished.

Was any other manufacture allowed to enter the 1200 class? Or was it a class that only Ford was able to enter therefore no competition?

No idea if Ford asked anyone else to join them to be honest. Pretty stupid if they didnt.

Imho....The thing Ford submitted wasn't a stock truck. Plain and simple. It was "stockish". Try again Ford.

The class was created just for them so I doubt anyone else even knew about it very far in advance. It wasn't even in the rules book that I could see for parker. It is now.
