Being offered a 22 with no Moonroof---Normal?

I did not want the roof, got it due to power tailgate, I use the truck as a truck so the tailgate is great, only used the moonroof once just to see if it worked. Could care less about it, but I do like the power tailgate when my hands are full.

I wouldn't care one way or the other. I've ordered my first Raptor - Code Orange Metallic and I ordered the moonroof cause I wanted the power tailgate, although neither one would be a deal breaker for me. Coming from a GMC Sierra with multi-pro tailgate. That feature is actually useful, wouldn't have a GMC without that. I ordered back in March. Ford emailed and said build scheduled for October 24th. Then they followed up with a delay - now build scheduled for October 31st. Now they just sent another email citing delays due to supplier issues. I say B.S. Chip shortage is over - manufacturers are now hiding behind that excuse. Who knows when it will come, but I'd NEVER pay over sticker. Didn't have to on my 2021 C8 and I won't do it on Raptor. But if they don't hurry up I may cancel all together - am tired of waiting....

Uhm, nope. Can tell you first hand in some cases it's at the worst it's been. Supply comes and goes on different components, but it's not even necessarily "better" at this point. Definitely not over.

We're actually dealing with a lot of scenarios where estimates on components are 12-18 months, but with no guarantee in that timeframe. There are often 3-5 alternative components we can design for, but they're all the same. So we have to design for 3 or more possibilities, knowing there's a good chance that one or none of them will actually be viable and get delivered. Couldn't be further from over.

My 2 cents. I have had moonroofs on almost all my vehicles and love them. On my Raptor I freaking hate it. I off-road the crap out of mine and the damn roof squeaks so much it annoys the crap out of me. It constantly squeaks even when driving on the road. If you off-road I’d suggest not getting it. If you just hop curbs at Starbucks by all means go for it.

I don't like moonroofs because it's too easy for one of my "girlfriends" to escape through it.

Whether or not you want the moonroof, 3k ADM is nothing compared to what some people have paid.

I really enjoy having a panoramic roof. It’s only about 20% tint though so it can get very toasty on a hot and sunny day.

I really wanted the power tailgate and for ‘22 they came as a package deal. I still don’t get WTF a panoramic roof and power tailgate have to do with each other.
