After finishing my install ....
I really like glowhut brand but they aren't bright enough for my appeal. I got in touch with LightTape brand specifically and I'm going to order they're tape. The cost is double too though. They quoted me $82 for a very similar product and is UV resistant. You can check out they're website @ www.LightTape.com

My goal is to try for increased "SVT" brightness to match that flicker that the side LED running lights give off.

LOL I did the same...after about 10 minutes of going, "Hmmm...where am I going to put this sucker..."

Ripped mine out. Started getting a bad feeling about it overheating/shorting out/etc and causing major problems. I left the light strips in the vents for a red accent. But, disconnected the transformer and all the wires. Going to need that upfitter switch soon anyway. :893karatesmiley-thu

Was just getting worried myself bc at times I hear the ballast whine and sometimes I don't. I thought it was a bad ground but after giving that a try....nope, debating whether they are worth the risk. Might be giving them a call or an email referring to this (hopefully) little issue!

I havent really had any issues with mine... I wired it up to the hood LEDs against popular demand. I never hear the ballast whine or anything.

One thing I do think is strange is that these little strips require 120v source when other LED strips, ie. Mercedes, only require a 12v source. just makes me wonder why on earth they need as much juice to run a house hold appliance just to glow a bit?

Hello, not going to backlight the logo but put some reflective tape in there.

QUESTION - is there any trick to getting the plastic piece off the side of the truck. I tried to pry it out but it wasn't as easy as I thought and I am afraid to break it.

Any guidance is appreciated.
