Just got done doing mine. I ordered everything via the links provided. I don't know if I did something wrong or not. But I didn't have much slack in the wires. Attaching to two pieces together to hit the splitter along the firewall was tight! I'm glad the glow stripes r as long as the r cause I needed all the length I could get. I won't b able to cut the strip if it fades, ill have to replace it.

I also used 3m double adhesive tape to hold the strip in the slot under the vent.

You can use any old 16 or 18 gauge wire to extent them if need be.

Might I suggest the smaller 16 gauge wire. I used 18 and the difference between the stock wiring from the EL side was a bit small, 16 would make for a much better splice or how ever you want to do it. I used the heat shrink crimps too. I think one of my crimps is bad, my passenger side is currently out... :(

I did the same on mine. Keep thinking I should light it up, but haven't yet. Have had a ton of folks notice the reflective tape.
With the blinkers would be cool as well.

I did this mod slightly different. I went to my local advance auto parts store and bought reflective safety tape. Its a 2 pack for 15.00. I cut the white off and trimed the red down to size and slid it behind the SVT logo. I know this sounds cheap as hell but it looks great. If it fades just cut up some more. Very low tech and you get the same effect as being back lit when other cars headlights hit it at night. I have other plans for my remaining 2 upfitter switches.

Dont get me wrong the back lighting is very cool just went my own way.
